The Government of Bihar has launched an ambitious scheme named “Aao Bihar” with the aim of promoting investment, encouraging the establishment of new industrial units, and supporting the development of technical educational institutions across the state.
One of the major challenges for industries and educational institutions has been the availability of dispute-free land. To address this, the government has introduced a transparent system that allows landowners to directly participate in the state’s development journey.
Key Highlights of the Scheme:
Land Registration: Any individual or group owning two acres or more of land can register their land details with the District Magistrate (DM).
Land Valuation: The landowner must declare the proposed selling price of the land along with an undertaking that the declared price will remain valid for a specified period from the date of registration.
Verification Process: The district administration will verify the land ownership, legal status, and dispute-free condition of the land before listing it officially.
BIADA’s Role: Once verified, the details will be forwarded to Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) and uploaded on its official website.
Investor Information: Through official advertisements, potential investors will be informed about available dispute-free land for sale. Interested investors can directly contact the concerned landowner.
Special Incentives: If investors purchase land registered under this scheme, they will get 100% exemption on stamp duty and registration fees, along with other benefits under Bihar’s Industrial Policy.
This scheme not only facilitates smoother land availability but also empowers citizens to contribute directly to the economic development of Bihar.
