😀😀👩‍❤️‍💋‍👨

In a major boost to regional connectivity and international travel, Bihar is set to resume direct flight services to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal from Patna after a long hiatus of 26 years. The service, which was discontinued in 1999, is expected to significantly enhance cross-border travel and tourism.

New International Flight Destinations from Bihar

Along with Kathmandu, direct flight services from Bihar (Patna/ Gaya ji)will also be launched to several other prominent international destinations, including:

1. Sharjah (UAE)

2. Singagapur

3. Bangkok (Thailand)

4. Colombo (Sri Lanka)

These new routes are part of a broader initiative to improve Bihar’s global connectivity and encourage economic growth through international partnerships.

Policy Support and Government Initiative

The decision was approved during a recent meeting of the Bihar Cabinet, where a new policy was adopted to strengthen communication and transport links on international routes. This policy aims to elevate Bihar’s presence on the global stage.

Key highlights of the policy include:

Financial incentives for aviation companies operating international flights from Bihar.

Support for aviation infrastructure, particularly at airports across the state, including the Gaya International Airport.

Letters of invitation sent to all Indian airline companies, encouraging them to participate in this initiative.

Boost to Tourism and Employment

The resumption and expansion of international flights are expected to:

Strengthen Bihar’s role in national and international logistics networks.

Promote tourism by making the state more accessible to foreign travelers.

Support industrial development through better connectivity.

Create new employment opportunities in tourism, hospitality, and aviation-related sectors.

This initiative represents a significant step in transforming Bihar into a globally connected region and unlocking its full economic and cultural potential.
